About Andy Gee

Andy was born in Berlin in 1950. Moved to a town near Frankfurt, Germany in 1955. Started playing guitar in 1958. First concerts 1962 with fellow students of German slow waltzes.
Privately taught classical and flamenco guitar for 3 years. Continued playing finger style on electric guitar.
Joined a number of bands in the Frankfurt region, The Red Rocks, The 5 Tornados, One And Another, as lead guitarist.
Moved to London in 1967.
Guitarist in Irish showband "The Nights" featuring Jimmy Swarbrick 1968. Lead guitarist with London band 'Springfield Park'. Toured the UK extensively.
Joined Follow The Buffalo in 1970, then Ellis 1971 and Thin Lizzy 1974. 
Played guitar on 'The Answer' Peter Bardens LP 1969 with Peter Green, 'Follow The Buffolo' LP 1970, 'Riding On The Crest Of A Slump' & 'Why Not?' LP's with Ellis (feat. Steve Ellis on vocals, Zoot Money on keyboards, Davy Lutton on drums, Jimmy Leverton then Nick South on bass) 1972/3.
Joined 'Thin Lizzy' after Gary Moore left as first two lead guitar line-up of Thin Lizzy in 1974 to tour Germany with Phil, Brian and John Caan.  
Moved to Canada in 1975, appeared on Quebec group Avenir's first album. Joined Montreal band 'Fighter' feat. Andre de Guire.
Appeared as a session guitarist on various commercials, 'Kawasaki let the good times roll' plus local productions recorded in Toronto & Montreal.
Moved back to London in 1979. Formed his own band 'Exit' in London.  Joined drummer John Collins in Barbados 1981 to form blues band 'NSU' until his untimely departure four months later. 
Formed 'Scandal' 1983 feat. Chris Spencer on vocals, Bob Sapsed on bass and Reg Isadore on drums. Some sessions with Peter Bardens on keys, Nick South on bass, Chris on vocals still exist and will be added soon.
Joined a UK rights organisation in 1986-1992 and worked for an independent music  publishing co. unitl 1994.
In the last 16 years has  produced various solo albums and co-productions in the genre of: "hOuSe mUsIc". :) worked with DJ's Chris 'Bam Bam' Westbrook, Byron 'B Rude' Burke, Tyree Cooper,  Marshall Jefferson, Zeki Lin  and Frankie Valentine.
